RAMADAN Prayers

RAMADAN Prayers

If you could make a difference in the lives of over 1 MILLION people, would you do it?

If you believe God works through prayer, then YOU CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE!     Pray for the true and living God to be revealed to Muslims during Ramadan.

One of the five compulsory pillars of Islam is fasting. The fast begins at sunrise and ends again at sunset. Across the world, 1.4 billion Muslims pray 5 times per day. Please pray for the people of Islam using this prayer guide adapted from a local church. Week 1 below.

DAY 1 – July 20 Fasting adds intensity to our prayers, and often leads to spiritual breakthroughs. We do not fast to convince or persuade Him, but to seek His perfect will in diverse circumstances and to identify with His broken heart and desire for ALL mankind to know Him. “And Jesus said unto them, I am the bread of life: he that comes to me shall never hunger, and he that believes on me shall never thirst.” John 6:35 Pray Muslims may have a hunger and thirst for Jesus during this month.

DAY 2 – July 21 Never underestimate the work of the Holy Spirit as you pray. Allow Him to teach you how to pray and share His heart with you concerning the Islamic people. Vast numbers of Muslims have come to Chrst as a result of supernatural encounters – dreams and visions of Jesus. It is only God who can open blind eyes and soften hard hearts. Only He can bring true conviction of sin and create new life. “And whatsoever you ask in my name, I will do it, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.” John 14:13 Ask the Father for dreams and visions of His Son for these people.

DAY 3 – July 22 “And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations and then the end will come.” Matt 24:14 It is fast becoming possible for all nations to have the Word in their OWN language. Do we have an excuse not to share? Pray that the Good News will be translated and available to all who seek Him. Pray for Chrstians be bold to hand out tracts and the Word . Some have NEVER heard the name of Jesus.

DAY 4 -July 23 Many women in Islam believe that suffering is their destiny…that it is the will of God for their lives. “The queen of Sheba shall rise up in the judgment with this generation, and shall condemn it: for she came from the uttermost parts of the earth to hear the wisdom of Solomon; and, behold, One greater than Solomon is here.” Matt. 12:42 Pry for the women of Islam that they may be drawn to the ONE that is greater than Solomon and receive new life from Him!

DAY 5 – July 24 A Muslim testifies: “During Ramadan, I love family gatherings over food, over laughter. Believe me: a family gathering over laughter is very important. Just like in the summer we admire the beauty of nature, in Ramadan we admire the beauty of the night….One of the beautiful things in Ramadan is that my wife and I pray the nightly prayers together.” The Father knows the hearts of all men. The values exhibited in their programming sometimes reflect the values of the Kingdom. It is possible that Jesus would say to some of them: “You are not far from the Kingdom of God.” Mark 12:34 Though, to others He might say, “One thing you lack….” Luke 18:22 It is also possible these Muslims are extremely far from the kingdom indeed, but then, only the Father knows that. Pray for them to discover what they lack.

DAY 6 – July 25  When a Muslim comes to saving faith, he is often rejected by his family. The family refuses to acknowledge the decision that he made. These Muslim background believers must find a new family who will stand by them in times of need. “And you shall be hated of all men for my name’s sake: but he that endures to the end shall be saved.” Matt 10:22 Please pray for Muslim background believers in this time of Ramadan. It is not only a time of fasting, but a time when Muslim families come together for prayer, meals and socializing. During Ramadan Christians from a Muslim background are no longer welcome at such family gatherings. Ask the Father to provide support in the Chrstian community.

DAY 7 – July 26 There are many refugees from Muslim countries that live around us. Many have experienced civil wars, severe drought, famine and terrorism. They are seeking peace, stability and security. “Come unto me, all you that labour and are heavy laden and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and you shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.” Matt 11:28-30 Let us pray they will be drawn to Jesus and find true peace and security in the Prince of Peace.

Thank you for Praying!  He is Mighty to Save!
