New missionaries often pray for patience, but one year is a long time to wait.
One missionary wife writes, “Our little family of 5 has been in transition for almost a year now. We have recently moved to an apartment, our 8th temporary home this year…our 27th location to rest our heads. Praise God for continuously providing so well for us. Praise Him that our three children (ages 6, 4, and 3) have continued to thrive inAfrica. Pray for us as we try to shepherd our kids hearts and lives, trying to honor Christ in how we raise them. Eleven months have passed while we wait for God to open the door to the country we feel called to. While we’re hopeful that God is going to move soon, we long to be faithful in our season of waiting. Deuteronomy 11:13-14 says, ‘So if you faithfully obey the commands I am giving you today – to love the Lord your God and to serve Him with all of your heart and with all of your soul – then I will send rain on your land in its season, both autumn and spring rains so that you may gather in your grain, new wine and oil.”
Please pray that we would be faithful in reaching out to those that God places before us each day. As we serve in our current location, please pray that God would indeed send the spiritual harvest for HIS glory alone.”
